Tournament Rules
The 2026 Wine Country Classic will be held from Friday, 8/14 to Sunday, 8/16 at Double Decker Lanes in Rohnert Park.
Sanctioning & Membership
USBC Certified Tournament
All participants must hold a current USBC adult membership, which can be purchased at bowl.com. Participants who choose not to be a USBC member may compete under SCPB’s Friends of the Tournament Certification for non-members.
Non-USBC Participants
Non-USBC participants who bowl in an IGBO-sanctioned league may qualify for entry with a one-time tournament participation fee of $5.00, due at time of registration. Non-USBC participants are subject to USBC rules for the WCC tournament, but are not eligible for USBC Awards.
IGBO Membership Required
All participants must hold a current IGBO membership. Purchase an individual membership now.
Tournament Participation
Singles, Doubles, & Teams Events
Mixed handicap tournament, by invitation only.
Three (3) games per event.
Must bowl all three (3) events, but only once per event.
Doubles partner must be from your team.
Team Structure
Teams consist of four (4) members.
All gender identities welcome.
Only one (1) professional bowler* allowed per team.
*Professional bowlers must identify during registration, or are subject to disqualification, loss of entry fee, or prizes.
WCC Entry Fees
Registration Fee: $129.00
Included in the registration fee is:
Prize fund.
Lineage and operational costs for all bowling events.
Free entry to Friday’s Registration Cocktail at La Rosa, Saturday’s After Strike evening party at the Flamingo Resort & Spa, and Sunday’s Rosé and Awards close-out mixer at Local Winery.

Registration will not be considered complete until the registration fee and applicable membership dues are paid in full. Early-bird registration may be eligible for a discount. All sales and payments are final. Refunds, late registrations, or exceptions are subject to the Director's discretion.

Award Rules
Awards are based on total pins, plus handicap.
Prizes not collected during the Rose and Awards event on Sunday, 8/16, will be distributed within the following 30 days.
Entering Averages
Tournament Handicap: 90% of the difference between your average and 225. Averages will be taken from the following sources:
The highest of options A or B:
A. Composite League Average 2024-2025 (with at least 21 games bowled).
B. IGBO Tournament Average (TAD) from 1/1/25 to 12/31/25 (minimum 9 games).
If neither applies, then option C:
C. Composite League Average 2025-2026 as of 12/31/2025 (with at least 21 games bowled).

Entering Averages Disclosure:
All submitted averages must be verifiable through credible websites or documents. Submission of an incorrect average will result in disqualification without a refund. The Director reserves the right to determine and adjust a bowler’s entering average.
Attendance & Substitutes
Attendance Rules
Out of respect for all participants, events will not be delayed for late or absent bowlers.
Late arrivals will score zero (0) for missed frames.
Substitute Rules
With notice and Director approval, authorized substitutes may be allowed in cases of absence, illness, or injury.
Approved substitutes may not start in the middle of a game.
